Matthew 5:1–3 The Christian life is not us moving up and to the right, but rather a series of peaks and valleys, ever progressing us forward on the long journey home to God. The first beatitude in Scripture is the doorway to the kingdom. We do not enter by any other way than moral bankruptcy. We enter with nothing, knowing Christ is our everything. We exist to love God, love people, and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
