Matthew 5:1–4 We tend to treat our sorrow as something to be silenced and others’ grief as a threat to our comfort. If we numb ourselves from the pain of life, we have not saved ourselves from grief, but robbed ourselves of true joy. Jesus has a better way for us. We exist to love God, love people, and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
