Scripture Reference: 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 Main Idea: A MATURING CHURCH NOT ONLY USES THE GIFTS OF GOD FOR THEIR MINISTRY, BUT DOES SO WITH THE LOVE OF GOD IN THEIR HEARTS Question to Consider: Does the love of God mark your life? 1. Based on several conversations I’ve had today, I think it would be good for Jason to clearly state his position on the continuation/cessation of the spiritual gifts and what he believes the “perfect” is and when the “perfect” has or will happen. 2. Can you give us some background on ceasationism? When did it start? Who started it? 3. 1 Cor. 13:4 talks about not boasting; where is the line between stating accomplishments or certifications and boasting? Is it wrong to talk about accomplishments, especially in a society where those things are required to make a living? 4. Pastor Jason, I grew up in a home with challenges and abuse. Therefore it made my allowing harmful people into my life a major problem. Can you please expound a bit on the difference between love keeping no record of wrongs and needed healthy boundaries for people like me who grew up in similar circumstances? 5. Just for fun.
